Highway: With a door-reaching Harbor Highway linking together with Guangzhou-Shenzhen, Yanjiang, Shenzhen-Shantou, Dongguan-Shenzhen expressways as well as urban North Ring and Nantou-Pingshan highways, SCT enjoys a highly developed highway transportation network. |

Railway: Close-by Pingshan Railway connected with Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Kowloon, Guangzhou-Shantou, Guangzhou-Chengdu and Guangzhou-Kunming railways also laid out a solid and sound foundation for the launching of SCT’s Sea-Rail Express service. |

Transportation Upgrade
Jointly invested by China Merchants Group and the Shenzhen Municipal Government of 2.8 billion, "Western Port Transportation Reconstruction Project" was launched in early 2008 and expected to be completed around the end of 2010. By then the western port transportation will step forward to a new stage, to capably meet the transportation demand of future business development of port area.
